I was invited to accompany Telegraph editor and journalist Cherrill Hicks to Tanzania, in order to create case study films for a feature she was researching and writing about water and maternal health in clinics.  We quickly established a strong working relationship and collaborated to split interviews where film was required in order to ensure we could bring those story to life outside of written word.

I worked alongside a photographer to ensure that we could offer rich multimedia to accompany her piece and to ensure we had a range of experiences captured in the stories we put forward.  The trip was of course challenging emotionally, and we worked together as a supportive unit alongside the media officer from WaterAid and WaterAid Tanzania staff to deliver. The results proved highly successful with great engagement on the piece and the films.

“I worked on a job with Catherine in Morogoro, southern Tanzania. Catherine headed up our team as well as being the filmmaker and producer for short film. She was a pleasure to work with, professional and totally unflappable. She works to a very high standard in all ways, helping her colleagues also to get the best results that they could. I highly recommend her for any assignments.”
